Rehearsal Invitations

If you are planning to hold a rehearsal the evening before your wedding, it’s a good idea to send out rehearsal invitations to provide these guests with all the details such as time, location, etc.

The wording of your rehearsal dinner invitations will depend on who is hosting the dinner.  If you, the bride and groom, are hosting, you will be listed as doing the inviting. If your parents are arranging the dinner, the invitation will state the dinner is being held in honor of you, the bride and groom, and may also list the names of the hosting parents.

You may want to also include response cards with your rehearsal invitations for guests to return if you are inviting a number of people so you can properly plan for seating and food arrange-ments.  Again, the response cards are typically returned to those hosting the dinner so their address should be printed on the return envelopes.  As a courtesy, remember to include a postage stamp on the response envelope for quick and easy return mailing.

Even though this special guest list won't be as large as your wedding invitation list, these select guests will appreciate formal rehearsal dinner invitations with all the details for that evening.
