Save the Date Cards and Magnets


You want to make sure that your guests, especially family and close friends, keep your wedding date open when planning their schedules. To ensure this, consider sending them save the dates shortly after you have scheduled your wedding or at least 4 months in advance, especially if it coincides with a holiday. Guests who will have to travel to be in attendance will find a save the date card helpful for giving them plenty of travel preparation time, especially for a destination location.


It’s easy to have fun and be creative with save the dates since there are so many styles and designs available including:

Most Save the Date designs are printed with the month, day and year of your wedding and first names with some even giving the option of including the location.

Be sure to list at the bottom the added line, “invitation to follow”, so guests won’t assume that this is the actual invitation.This is also why it’s imperative that everyone who receives your save the date also receives your wedding invitation.
